How to maintain your cabinet surface?

Nowadays, cabinets are popular because of their low cost and long lifespan. Due to cabinets being so common in our homes, many people might want to know how to clean the surfaces properly for maintenance.

  • Start by removing dust that has settled on the surface, wiping them down with a soft, dry cloth.
  • When the dust has been removed, clean the surface with a soft damp cloth and water which is mixed with a mild detergent.
  • After cleaning, use a streak-free glass cleaner on a soft cloth to finish. This will remove any residue and provide you with the best possible results.
  • Last but not least, be sure that the cabinet surfaces are fully dry so that no moisture remains, as this can lead to mould and mildew.

Things to know:

  • Instead of applying cleaning products directly to the area to be cleaned, apply them to the cloth.
  • Spills should be cleaned up as quickly as possible in order to prevent damages.
  • Abrasive cleaning chemicals, such as ammonia cleanser, turpentine, bleach, sandpaper, and pot scourers, should be avoided because they can readily harm the cabinet surfaces.

With proper maintenance and regular cleaning, your cabinet surfaces will not only stay clean and in good condition over time, but they'll also last longer without showing signs of wear and tear.
